This award is given each year by the American Academy of Certified Public Managers based on recommendation from the CPM Program Director as an exceptional Capstone Project.

The following criterion exemplifies an exceptional curriculum project. The Capstone Project is

• Innovative in its approach, and demonstrating an improvement in quality within the work unit as a result of the project.
• Showing cost savings or increased revenues as a result of the implementation of the project.
• An outstanding demonstration of CPM principles.
• Significantly contributing to the organization and work unit.
