Stephen D. Eiffert
Steve
Eiffert is an established organization consultant and trainer with considerable
experience in the areas of management skills, effective thinking and decision
making, communication skills and leadership. He is also a nationally recognized
expert on the creative process. His book, Cross Train Your Brain, was
chosen in the summer of 1999 as the main selection of the Doubleday Executive
Program. He has presented over 1500 seminars, programs and talks in the United
States and abroad. His Creativity Workshops and Retreats, designed to introduce
new thinking paradigms and methods of utilizing more of the human potential,
have been popular with numerous companies and groups, receiving wide
acclaim. Some of his clients include: Federal Express, Dial, Tyson Foods, BASF,
Motorola, California Energy Commission, Time Warner, Chiron, Microsoft, Miller
Freeman Publishing, Inc. Magazine, International and The San Francisco Symphony.
For
over 20 years, Steve worked in the advertising industry. For 18 of those years,
he was president and principal owner of Eiffert Media Communications, an
advertising agency in the Midwest. A student of improvisation, he studied
and trained at Second City in Chicago and later performed for several years with
his comedy group “The Evening Edition.” In the summer of 1995, he left the
agency business to pursue a full time speaking and consulting career.
He has been
an instructor of Advertising at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and an
Instructor of Business and Marketing at Missouri State University,
also in Springfield. While working as an instructor at Missouri State University he received one of the highest ratings from his students of any
professor in the business department. Steve Eiffert holds an Undergraduate
Degree in Film and Video from Missouri State University, and a Masters
Degree in Communication, Cum Laude, from Missouri State University. He
has also done post graduate study at the Owen School of Management, Vanderbilt
University.
Steve
continues his relationship as trainer and consultant for the California Council
of Continuous Improvement, The American Management Association, and the
Management Development Institute at Missouri State University. He is
certified in Situational Leadership and Myers Briggs. Additionally he is a
consultant to Panera Bread Company and other organizations and is a frequent
speaker at corporate meetings and events.
